Homework: none! Be safe if you go out tonight!

Homework: none! Be safe if you go out tonight! Today we took a break from our DBQ in order to visit the Digital Age Classroom for a lesson on stress management from our wonderful counselor, Mrs. Crandall. Tomorrow we are back to analyzing documents to determine how the Treaty of Versailles could have led to WWII.
Homework: none Today we analyzed another document (really two) and completed the Say/Mean/Matter chart for B1 and B2.
Homework: none Get your first $30 donation tonight (or turned in during homeroom) and receive an extra color packet! You'll also get a snack for each 20 shares you do (up to 3 snacks) using your online code. See or email your lunch block teacher for your code if you lost yours. We're going to purchase new technology and updates to our building with the money raised. THANK YOU!!!
Today we annotated the background essay for our new DBQ (How did the Versailles Treaty help lead to WWII?) and blocks 4 and 5 completed the Say/Mean/Matter chart for Document A.
Homework: none Today we worked on our warm ups, watched a history bomb video on WWI (included below if you want to watch it again), and then took notes and/or discussed the "spark" that started WWI (the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand). Homework: none Monday
Today we got our new warm ups and our new set of Teacher Notes. Students then turned in the final copies of the mini-DBQ paragraph and watched a video about WWI technological advancements. Homework: none Tuesday Mrs. Crandall came to class and conducted a counseling lesson. Homework: none Wednesday Students will need to complete Tuesday and Wednesday's warm up, then will watch a video on WWI trench warfare ( CLICK HERE FOR THE TRENCH WARFARE VIDEO ). After this, students will get a sheet to read about trench warfare and a page of questions to answer from the reading. Homework: finish trench warfare questions Today we completed the peer editing process and then worked on the final copy of the paragraph response to the DBQ: how did the Scramble for Africa cause WWI?
Homework: finish final copy, if needed Today I clarified the instructions on the PEEL pre-write and gave feedback to help students complete it and work on their rough draft.
Homework: finish paragraph rough draft (for real real!) Today we went over what we did yesterday as there was lingering confusion about it. Then, we completed the pre-writing stage of answering the DBQ prompt: how did the Scramble for Africa cause WWI?
Homework: finish PEEL prewriting organizer (NOT the rough draft- I changed my mind) |
