Today we completed our CNN10 warm up then finished the notes graphic organizer and sentences for how the location, climate, and natural resources impact the trade for Russia, the United Kingdom, and Germany (4th- AC class- also Italy).

Today we started looking at specific countries and how their location, climate, and natural resources impact their trade. Each class is at a different place, but the three countries are Russia, the United Kingdom, and Germany (4th block- AC class- will also examine Italy). Students took notes in a graphic organizer and wrote sentences about how the countries' L/C/NR impact trade in that country.
Homework: none Happy early release day! Today we did our warm up then took some notes on factors that impact trade (location, climate, and natural resources). 5th block did not have time to complete this activity so we will squeeze it in tomorrow.

Homework: study both the political AND physical maps of Europe for the test tomorrow (answers and blank maps for studying purposes can be found under the "resources" tab of this site) Today we watched a CNN 10 video, finished the Europe political and physical maps, and completed a discovery ticket to determine strengths/weaknesses in understanding (except 3rd- we'll do the DT on Monday for them).
Homework: review the Europe political and physical maps for the test that will be on Tuesday (8/28)- blank maps and answer keys can be found under the "resources" tab of this site Today some classes had to finish the European geography notes, then students were given time to correct or complete their political and physical maps of Europe.

Homework: none Today we took the SLO test on the computer in order to set a baseline for measuring learning growth. The final SLO test score (taken at the end of the year) will be compared to the score from today's assessment; however, the grade from today's test will NOT go in the gradebook. After the test, students were given a blank political and physical map (one on each side of the paper) to complete using provided maps and colored pencils. We will continue working on this tomorrow.
