We analyzed test results and found individual strengths/weaknesses for each topic from the unit test. Students then selected 2 topics to complete an assignment for- some were required for certain students.
Homework: finish 1.5 of the 2 assignments Today we did our warm up, reviewed for the test, and took the Unit 1 Summative test.
Homework: none Today we went over the review sheet for the TEST TOMORROW!! The review sheet is on purple paper, but it's also under the "resources" tab on this website. Also provided there are the links to the quizizz reviews- both mine and Mr. Brink's. Note that Mr. Brink's only covers part of the content, so don't rely on just that to review for the whole test.
Homework: study for geography of Europe test Today students got a new warm up sheet, read more about major language groups in Europe, and color coded a map of Europe with the most common languages/groups.
Homework: study for unit 1 test- the test is Wednesday! See the "resources" tab of this website for the Quizizz practice game that we will play tomorrow, and the review sheet that we will complete tomorrow. AC class: if you didn't finish the questions on the back of the map, you'll need to finish that for homework as well I've been all over the internet this weekend looking for helpful videos and resources for you to review/study/learn the content of our standards. I've mostly been focusing on our first unit, but there's some other stuff up there too if you'd like to preview it. Click on the "videos/links" tab at the top of this site and scroll down to see what all is there. It goes in order of what we have/will learn(ed). I'm still adding more but I want to be sure that you're aware of that resource.
I hope you're looking over your notes because our Unit 1 test is Wednesday! And some people need to finish the questions from the reading (answers went on the Language Notes paper). I've already entered the grades for that- zeros if I don't have it from you. Make sure I get it Monday/tomorrow! Happy Sunday afternoon! Today we watched the CNN 10 video from September 11th (this year) and read/answered questions about Europe's major religions and languages.
Homework: begin looking over notes and studying for the unit test that will be on Wednesday next week. Topics include political/physical maps, environmental issues, languages, and religions of Europe Today we went over the religion three-circle Venn diagram, and discussed the three major language groups in Europe. Students then worked on a culture (language and religion) reading comprehension practice.
Homework: 9/11 interview due tomorrow, finish culture questions, study for unit test that will be on Wednesday next week Today we watched a Brain Pop video on religions, then took some notes on the three major religions of Europe: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Tomorrow we will review the three circle Venn diagram then discuss the various languages in Europe ... get it? Discuss languages? Hahaha! I know I'm hilarious. ;)
Homework: none (OToday we watched the Brain Pop on the tragic events of September 11, 2001. We then completed Monday and Tuesday's warm up (since we had a visitor yesterday), and worked on the environmental issues project. OL: The paragraph needs to include the causes, effects, and solutions the country has come up with to correct the problem.
Homework: 1. Environmental issue project due tomorrow when you enter class 2. 9/11 interview due Friday (must be in STUDENT HANDWRITING!) |
